Volunteer

“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”

Putting Faith Into Action: How to Help!

Please call 931-645-4242 or email volunteer@clarksvillerestore.org for opportunities to help at Habitat’s ReStore.

When people think of Habitat, they think of home ownership.  There are many ways for you to help qualified low-income homeowners own a home.

Millard Fuller, Habitat founder, relates the Habitat partnership in this way – Putting faith into action.

The ReStore  operate with a limited number of paid staff and quality volunteers from the community. We partner with the local State Workforce Office, Youth Can, and the Senior Community Service Employment Programs to provide On the job training for their clients.

We can use volunteers in several areas

  • Assisting with receiving donations
  • Making small repairs to donations
  • Testing appliances
  • Cleaning and straightening merchandise

In whatever capacity volunteers decide to use their talents in the Restore, our volunteers choose the amount of time they want to give. Some work an hour or two a day, once a month and others work twice a week. It’s up to you.
